For the fifth consecutive year Soteria International welcomes participants to a visionary conference on the emerging field of Spiritual Human Rights.

This year’s event presents key note presentations and Q&A sessions addressing the question “What is the Role of Spirituality in Modern Society”.

The event marks the continuous effort to develop a common platform for unfolding Spiritual Human Rights into modern society.

SPIRITUALITY IN SOCIETY TODAY

Soteria International holds that spirituality should serve the progression of society. All authentic spiritual paths share fundamental truths. Intimate knowledge of humanity’s spiritual essence qualifies spirituality as an efficient feedback system, for society as well as the individual life.

Europe has left a Christian hegemony to find new angles on spirituality or atheism. Some speak of bankruptcy of religions’ mandate while companies give room for prayer and meditation to increase harmony and productivity. Spirituality is ever more embraced in the private lives of individuals and at the same time spiritual groups are framed as a menace to our open society. Can we find a common ground to speak of spirituality as a progressive force in society today?

- What is progressive and reactionary within religions and spirituality?

- What is spiritual activism for a better society?

- What in practice reflects spiritual essence and what are historic patterns without current spiritual significance?
